From the later verses of Kentucky’s beloved state song “My Old Kentucky Home” comes the lyrics “They hunt no more for the possum…” Why should anyone hunt for a possum anyways when the plush toy version is this adorable?

Opossums (or just ‘possums’ as we’ve nicknamed them in the Commonwealth) are nocturnal critters that roam Kentucky’s woodlands, open fields searching for food, or perhaps some possum fun – whatever that is.

Lovingly named ‘Patrick Possum’ after one such possum that can be found hanging out around My Old Kentucky Home’s Carriage House, our plush toy possum is crafted from soft faux fur, has a two beaded eyes, and a long furless tail. Our possum is extra squishy, fluffy, and is a great toy for children!
